The other day I was on my omni swing doing some exercises and a couple of thoughts crossed my mind.  Is the yoga swing better than yoga?  Does the yoga swing replace yoga?

The answer to these questions is a simple No, but I’ll go into a little more detail.

Yoga and anti gravity yoga (yoga swing yoga) are complimentary, first of all.  I can say this for sure.  It’s much easier to do some of omni swingthe traditional yoga poses, as a result of using the omni swing.

Cobra pose is an example.  It’s just much more natural to do this pose now, because of the flexibility I’ve gained using the yoga swing.

You Can’t Do A Head Stand On The Yoga Swing

Nothing can replace a headstand on the ground.  Having your head and neck supporting the weight of your body has a whole different effect than being upside down on a yoga swing.

Getting comfortable in a head stand, and breathing properly while you’re doing it, is inspiring on some strange level and I don’t want to give that up.  Being in direct contact with the floor has a whole set of it’s own benefits, so I can’t say using a yoga swing makes regular yoga obsolete.

Using An Omni Swing And Practicing Yoga Are Great Fitness Tools

Something great about yoga swings and yoga is they both help to improve strength and flexibility.  You have to experience them to really appreciate the possibilities.

I know a lot of people who are turned off by yoga, because they think it’s a religion or some strange new age practice.  For me, yoga is advanced stretching and meditation.  It may be a religion for some people, but it definitely doesn’t have to be.

The practice of breathing, in yoga alone, is like a meditation, and adding stretching into that meditation helps you to feel many of the intricate details of the body; to feel the inter-connectedness of the it.

A yoga swing helps you to easily get into positions you might find difficult or impossible without one.  For the person who’s into yoga, it’ll make it easier to get more out of some of the poses you already do.

The yoga swing also allows you to work muscles and muscle groups, in a way you just can’t work them doing ground yoga.  It’s completely awesome and helps you to use several muscle groups at a time, just getting into the different positions that are possible.

The yoga swing has been one of the greatest things I’ve added to my fitness regime, ever, but I’m not going to give up yoga because of it.

In conclusion, both doing Yoga and using the Yoga Swing offer tremendous benefits to the practitioner.  I recommend both.

Earthing products are the coolest health invention I’ve ever seen or used.  They help to benefit your health with very little effort on your part.

Earthing Products Equal Science Fact?

If you are learning about earthing products for the first time, you might scoff or think earthing benefits are from some earth lover’s imagination.  After all, there are people out there spreading theories as if they were fact.

Earthing is a reality and several studies back up what you are about to learn.  The body of evidence is growing and it’s only going to get bigger.

The earthing products you’re reading about here were created by Clint Ober as a result of an insight he had in 1998.  He wondered if being insulated from the earth, as a result of our foot ware, might have health consequences.

Clint decided to see if grounding himself might have any noticeable effect on his health.  He used a voltmeter at his house and affirmed that his electrical potential would jump up whenever he was close to plugged in appliances, lamps and places where the electrical wires were in the walls.

He also noticed, appliances that were grounded, meaning they have a third prong on the plug and were plugged into a grounded outlet, didn’t create voltage on his body.

He made a generic earthing product from metalized duct tape, which he connected to a grounding rod, inserted in the earth outside his apartment window; A wire connected the grounding rod to the earthing device he’d created.

When he laid down on it and looked at the voltmeter reading, it showed nearly zero.  He knew from is experience in the cable industry that this meant he was at the same electrical potential as the earth.

What happened next was a surprise.  He woke up the next morning with the voltmeter on his chest.  He had not been sleeping well for quite some time so this was a big deal for Clint.

The following night Clint slept the same way and had a sound sleep again.  He knew he was on to something and asked his friends if they’d let him repeat the experiment on them.

Clint got feedback he didn’t expect.  People with serious pain were telling him there pain was diminished or gone, others were claiming to feel generally better.

This story represents the humble beginnings of earthing products.  Since then, Clint has grounded countless numbers of people; and numerous experiments have verified a number of health benefits to the practice of grounding one’s self.

All you have to do is stand barefoot on the earth to get the benefits of being grounded.  It’s good to take advantage of this practice whenever you can.

Earthing products allow you to be grounded indoors.  The longer you are grounded the more benefit your body receives.  The most practical way to reap the health benefits of Earthing is to use an earthing sheet for sleeping on.

Basic earthing sheets come in the fitted variety or as a half sheet referred to as an earthing bed pad.  These grounding sheets are threaded with conductive silver wire and have a grounding cord you connect to them.  The cord plugs into the ground port of an electrical outlet.  This literally grounds you, as long as the outlet is properly grounded.

In the United States and many other countries, outlets are grounded, but you can connect your cord to a grounding rod if it’s not.

The earthing sheets are my personal favorite earthing product because they allow you to reap the benefits of being grounded, with very little effort, for extended periods of time.

I’m using an earthing mat right now, while I’m typing these words on my computer.  An earthing mat is a conductive pad that plugs in to the wall outlet the same way grounding sheets do.  You can use them a number of ways, but I generally use mine under my bare feet when I’m working on my computer.

The videos on this page will help you to get an idea of what you can do on an omni swing.  You’ll also get an understanding of the differences between the omni swing deluxe and the yoga swing deluxe.

They look very similar but the omni swing is more versatile.

You may have heard the terms Anti Gravity Yoga or Aerial Yoga before.  With an omni swing you can do anti gravity yoga and more.  You’ll be able to work muscles in a way that you can’t do without something like it.

How Can An Omni Swing Benefit You?

The swing is suspended by a set of strong springs, attached to a bar which hangs from a sealing, beam, Rockit Stand or other firm anchor.  It also has 2 sets of handles; One set is adjustable for further versatility.

In addition to the swing and the handles the omni swing has stir ups for the feet, which also allow a wide range of motion.

Having the range of motion the handles and stirrups offer, in addition to the springs the yoga swing hangs from, creates instability.  It’s this instability that allows you to work many stabilizer muscles you wouldn’t otherwise work; Your body has to use all of these muscles to help balance you.

The benefits acquired by your muscles as a result of this instability of the omni swing are a good enough reason to make it great to add to your fitness plan, but this yoga swing is good for a lot more.

Think about what it’s like to do a push-up.  Your hands are on the floor, in a kind of awkward position for your wrists.  You can go down so far and back to the up position.  You can get a little more versatility by putting your hands in different positions.

With the omni swing, you can take push-ups to a whole new level.  You have full range of motion capability, which allows you to work muscles you didn’t even know you had.

Doing push-ups in the air on a yoga swing gives you such an amazing core workout; and you can advance in the ways you can do push, as you gain strength.  I’ve advanced quite a bit in the last few weeks, and I can’t imagine I can ever max out.  The possibilities may not be infinite, but that’s the way I think about it.

Pushups are only one of many ways you can get your muscles working on the omni gym yoga swing.  You can get as creative as you like and learn a lot of different things you can do from what others have tried already.

Strength isn’t the only thing you’ll gain using an omni swing.  You can contort your body into all kinds of positions; and use the swing, handles and stirrups for support, which allows you to relax into positions and stay in them long enough to get some benefit.

Some people have claimed to have improved their spinal health from using a yoga swing.  There is a practice called inversion therapy.  It’s basically hanging upside down.  Hanging upside down creates traction, as it’s called in orthopedics.  The claims of people who support this theory, is that it decompresses the spine and allows lost moisture to return to the vertebrae, helping the vertebrae to regain their original shape. It’s important to note, using a yoga swing can be very beneficial, but any form of exercise has risk.  You should start slow and take it easy.  Advance as you’re confidence in your ability increases.  If you have any health or medical concerns, consult with a doctor before doing any kind of exercise on an omni swing.

Reducing Inflammation And The Earthing Connection

If you suffer from inflammation and the pain it often comes with, you’re not alone.  Once you really start to understand chronic inflammation, you might get the impression it’s the cause of many of the diseases so many people suffer from; In reality that might not be far from the truth.

Although there is a lot more to be learned about inflammation and it’s relationship to disease, we know that chronic inflammation can lead to some diseases; and is associated with many.

So What Exactly Is Inflammation And What Causes It?

Inflammation is a condition created by the body to defend itself, referred to as an innate immune system response.  Whether it be pathogens, an injury or some type of irritant, the body knows it needs to set things straight.

Acute Inflammation serves the purpose of setting the healing process in motion, by bringing plasma, containing nutrients hormones and white blood cells (leukocytes), where they’re needed.

 

There are a number of different types of these white blood cells.  Their main jobs consist of breaking down materials and cleaning them up to be removed from the body.  They are like the clean up crew which also kills enemies before cleaning them up.

What we’ve described is the normal function of inflammation, known as acute inflammation.  It’s only when the inflammation doesn’t go away that it becomes a problem.

 

Low grade inflammation, also know as chronic inflammation, is inflammation that hangs on and causes many health issues.  It’s become an epidemic in our modern society.  Questions needing answering are why does inflammation become chronic, what happens as a result and what can you do about it?

Inflammation can become chronic for a few different reasons.  When it comes to pathogens being in the body, the inflammation can continue if the body is unable to completely break down the invaders.

Low grade inflammation can also result from eating certain foods or over eating.  Things like trans fats and refined sugars act as irritants to the body and set the inflammatory response in action.  If lifestyle habits are causing the inflammation, the inflammation persists and becomes chronic.

Once the body has entered a state of chronic inflammation it becomes a cycle that’s difficult to break.  One of the reasons for this is directly related to free radicals.  This is where Earthing can help, but first let’s understand this process a little better.

Free radicals are released during the inflammation cycle, in order to help kill harmful pathogens.  That’s good, but if the free radicals aren’t neutralized, they go on causing damage to healthy tissues.  It’s like a loop.  The free radicals cause damage, creating inflammation, releasing more free radicals, causing more damage, sustaining inflammation.

Inflammation, Oxidative Stress and Free Radical Damage are all related.  If you’re body can’t overcome the free radicals, chronic inflammation and a number of health problems ensue.

The body can create a lot of scar tissue, as a result of creating excessive connective tissue where it’s unneeded.  Lot’s of cells and tissue can die, which in extreme cases, can cause the need for parts of the body to be amputated.

Some diseases related to inflammation are Atherosclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac Disease, Autoimmune Disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Asthma, Hypersensitivities, Acne and Cancer.

Earthing Reduces Inflammation

The answer to excessive free radicals, resulting from chronic inflammation, is Earthing.  When a person connects directly to the earth, free electrons instantly enter their body and begin to neutralize free radicals.  What’s great is the supply of these free electrons is unlimited.

Earthing also has a number of other healthful benefits.  When you get grounded, your blood changes; it becomes thinner.  This allows for better circulation, which helps your body to get nutrients and other materials wherever they’re needed.

People tend to sleep better when they’re connected to an earthing device.  Many also report feeling better in general and having more energy.  When it comes to understanding what Earthing can do for us, I think we’ve only begun to scratch the service.

Eating The Best Foods To Improve Your Health

If you are wanting to improve your health, get in better shape and live a life more like you have dreamed of, eating the best foods is one of the first things to start with.

We all know this truth, to some degree, right?  It’s not a lack of knowledge that keeps us from eating good foods, as much as eating for convenience keeps us from eating good foods.

So how do we make it convenient to eat better?  For starters you’ll have to change some habits, which is the most difficult part.  You’ll want to start replacing all of the so so foods, you have around, with the best foods.

Once you’ve got some better foods in the house you’ll have easy access to them when you’re hungry.  You may not be used to the tastes of the new foods, so they might not be as appealing at first, but here’s the good news.

Our bodies tend to crave what we eat.  So much for the saying, “We crave what we need.”  That statement is not true, most of the time.  There is some truth in it, but it takes some fine tuning of the diet to know what an addiction versus a beneficial desire for food is.

You’ll see; Just start to eat foods that are better for you, and your body will begin craving those things more often.  Having good foods around makes eating them convenient on one level, but what if your busy?

Being too busy to prepare your own foods is one of the most common excuses people have for not eating more healthfully.  In most cases people are very busy and it does take time to prepare your own things; So what can you do?

Eat simple.  Eating simple is very enjoyable, but it takes some getting used to as well.  One good thing you can start doing, that’s really simple, is having at least one of your meals blended.  Just throw any kind of greens in a blender, along with several pieces of fruit and some water; blend it, pour it in a jar, put a lid on it and go.

You can eat these kind of smoothies in the car or most other forms of transportation you might be using.  Have the greens prepared the night before and it’ll make it real easy to make a meal like this.  Using bananas in one of these green smoothies makes the fruit preparation super quick.

There’s also 2 good reasons to prepare your own dinner at home.  The habit will give you control over what you’re eating and allow you to make extra for your lunch the next day.  This little habit of making too much dinner makes it easy to put a little extra in a container, ready to go.

You’re getting some ideas now, right?  All you have to do to make it convenient to eat good, is change a few habits.  Once those habits are set in motion, it’ll be easy to maintain them.  The rewards of eating the best foods will take you a long way in your quest to improve your health.

How To Get A Flat Stomach Mindset

Here’s a follow up to how to get a flat stomach.  In the first video at the beginning of the month we shared some fat loss tips with you.  Do you remember the biggest fat loss tip?

Get a good night’s sleep.  8-10 hours of sleep, a few nights in a row will make a huge difference in how your body looks and feels.  It will help you to regenerate and burn more fat.  Remember?  More muscle mass equals more fat burning power.  After exercise complete recovery means a good rest.  Getting a flat stomach is tied in with a handful of simple habits.

Don’t forget to watch the how to get a flat stomach exercise video on this page.  The main thing were going to go over right now is mindset.  Have you ever thought and thought about something and dreaded doing it; only to find when you did it, it wasn’t as tough as you thought?

In addition to it not being as tough as you thought, you felt so much lighter to have it off of your mind, right?  I know because I experience that too.  That’s why we have to have the right mindset to get a flat stomach or do anything else.  So how do you get into the right mindset?

It’s pretty easy if you do this one thing.  Make a commitment to yourself and keep it.  The good thing is, it doesn’t have to be a big commitment.  In fact, you should only make a commitment to yourself that you’re going to keep, no matter what.

Whether it’s your desire to get a flat stomach, drop a few pounds or get into the best shape of your life, it all starts with your simple commitment.  I recommend you watch the How To Get A Flat Stomach Exercise video on this page and do that exercise three times this week.

Don’t feel you have to do it fast or perfectly.  Just do it the best you can and finish it.  Modify it however you need to to finish it.  You’ll see in the video that you can’t even let your kids be an excuse not to do it, if you have kids.  If you don’t want to do this exercise, pick any one habit and do it this week.

Once you do it, you’ll feel lighter and it will be easy for you to continue it, or even add something else in.  Have you ever heard of Anthony Robbins?  I bet you have.  Something I learned from him is, there are 2 things you absolutely need.  “You need to give and you need to grow; To give you’ve got to grow!”

This is all part of the mindset you need to do anything in your life.  If you want to get a flat stomach, it might help you, if you decide to do it so you can show someone else how to do it.  Everybody needs a little motivation now and then.  There’s nothing that will motivate your friends to get in shape more than getting into better shape yourself.

To get a flat stomach, you don’t have to follow any particular diet or exercise plan.  Pick something and commit to doing it.  You’ll develop your own style of exercise if you just start to do something regularly.  It’s kind of like the Karate Kid doing simple movements he didn’t like, until he got the purpose.

Create your own Kung fu.  The real meaning of Kung fu (Gongfu) is “human achievement”; Mastering an art or skill through hard work.  All you have to do to master your Gongfu is repeat it.  It may not become effortless for you, but it will become completely, or at least more natural.

After you’ve got to see the electrical frequencies he hooks a scope ( spectrum analyzer) up to his computer and then to Dr. Mercola so you can see the actual frequency Mercola and anyone else in most places indoors are being zapped with.
