If you’ve never had a Parsley Banana Smoothie you’re in for a nice surprise. I have a lot of simple banana smoothie recipes, but parsley is my personal favorite green for a number of reasons.
Parsley is one of the greens that doesn’t contain goitrogenic compounds, which fall into a category of substances referred to as anti nutrients. Goitrogens interfere with the bodies ability to uptake iodine, which can lead to problems with the thyroid. Not only is parsley FREE of these compounds. It contains Iodine, in addition to other important nutrients.
Some of the nutrients parsley contains in abundance are Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin A Folate and Iron. It also gives a healthful boost to your calcium and magnesium levels.
Something that’s also real great about Parsley is it’s anti-inflammatory effect on our physiology; It’s considered strongy anti-inflammatory. How To Make Your Parsley Banana Smoothie

Parsley Banana Smoothie Ingredients:
Bananas 3-5 medium to large
Parsley 1 whole bunch
Water 2-3 cups
Directions:
Rinse your parsley and toss it into your Vitamix Blender. After putting the lid on your blender, start blending on low speed then crank it up to full speed for about 10 to 30 seconds. Now add your bananas and blend in the same way for another 10-30 seconds. Serve. Yummm.
This recipe will serve up to 4 people nicely as a snack, but if you eat primarily raw food or use it as a meal replacement, you’ll want to consume the whole blender full yourself. It’s pretty easy to consume the whole smoothie and it will sustain you for a long time that way.
