Case 39 Review By Sye Rodriguez
Starring Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Bradley Cooper and Ian McShane; Case 39 is one of the few movies I’ve been surprised by, based upon reading the cover of the movie box. I do mean surprised in a good way.
A lot of the movies under deliver but this one is a thriller to be seen. There isn’t profane language or nudity, which is becoming rare in the time we live. This is a horror movie, and it’s down right evil without any gimmicks. Don’t watch this movie if you can’t handle real scary.
Renee plays the part of a social worker who has the best interest of the children she helps in mind. Lilleth, played by Jodelle Ferland, plays an unusual part, in a family which appears to be abusing her.
Renee is in for some surprises when she comes to Lilleth’s aid; Humbling surprises, they are, the kind that make you rethink your position in life.
This movie is unique. To make a good thriller seems difficult enough, but it’s a whole other game to make a thriller that’s unique after all of the material that’s been covered in that genre.
I recommend this movie to mature audiences. If you’re looking for a good scare, Case 39 just might do it for you. If your a thriller connoisseur, this movie is one you’ll want to add to your repertoire.
Case 39 is the kind of movie worth curling up on the couch to watch, along with a warm blanket and some good ole, organic, home popped pop corn; And a hand to hold onto if your the type that scares easy.
