I Eat Chlorella

Chlorella is an amazing food with lots of vitamins, minerals, nucleic acids (RNA and DNA), and amino acids, including all of the essential ones.  It is a single celled green algae, and is known for having the highest chlorophyll content of any plant in the world.  Chlorella also possesses the Chlorella Growth Factor or CGF.

CGF causes chlorella to quadruple itself in 48 hours.  This property also causes the beneficial bacteria, lactobacillus, to multiply at four times the normal rate in the gut when consumed, which improves digestion and assimilation of nutrients.  Chlorella also has the capacity to assist in the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Chlorella has the beneficial enzymes, chlorophyllase and pepsin, which assist in a number of bodily functions.  It contains high amounts of magnesium, which is responsible for over 300 enzyme actions in the body.

Chlorella has also been shown to promote production of interferon levels in the body, which in turn create more t cells and macrophages.  Macrophages help to surround and get rid of foreign substances in the body and t cells are a line of defense against things like viruses and cancer.

Chlorella is a truly an amazing food.  What is written here is a summary of the benefits and I have not mentioned them all.

“The Japanese Government was obliged to introduce quality standards to control the importation of Chlorella because of the disparity between grades and purity values. In 1995 our Chlorella became the only producer ever to be licensed to import and sell their products with an official health food recognition seal in Japan.”  The previous statement is quoted from Ultimate Super Foods website.

Case 39 Movie Review

Case 39 Review By Sye Rodriguez

Starring Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Bradley Cooper and Ian McShane; Case 39 is one of the few movies I’ve been surprised by, based upon reading the cover of the movie box.  I do mean surprised in a good way.

A lot of the movies under deliver but this one is a thriller to be seen.  There isn’t profane language or nudity, which is becoming rare in the time we live.  This is a horror movie, and it’s down right evil without any gimmicks.  Don’t watch this movie if you can’t handle real scary.

Renee plays the part of a social worker who has the best interest of the children she helps in mind.  Lilleth, played by Jodelle Ferland, plays an unusual part, in a family which appears to be abusing her.

Renee is in for some surprises when she comes to Lilleth’s aid; Humbling surprises, they are, the kind that make you rethink your position in life.

This movie is unique.  To make a good thriller seems difficult enough, but it’s a whole other game to make a thriller that’s unique after all of the material that’s been covered in that genre.

I recommend this movie to mature audiences.  If you’re looking for a good scare, Case 39 just might do it for you.  If your a thriller connoisseur, this movie is one you’ll want to add to your repertoire.

Case 39 is the kind of movie worth curling up on the couch to watch, along with a warm blanket and some good ole, organic, home popped pop corn; And a hand to hold onto if your the type that scares easy.

Sye Rodriguez rated this movie 4 stars

How To Make Apple Kimchi

Sye’s Apple Kimchi

Originally Posted January 24, 2011

This following is a recipe based on one from my book, Sexy Fit!  Today we prepared a modified version of the one in the book.  Hopefully you’ll find it yummy!

You’ll need the following items:

  • Good Water
  • Celtic or other good sea salt
  • 1 medium to large apple
  • 1/2-3/4 head of cabbage.
  • 1-2 cucumbers
  • 1 pinky size piece of fresh ginger
  • 5-8 fresh mini peppers (The ones I used were not hot.)
  • 6-8 cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 head of Broccoli
  •  large bowl
  • mason jars or similar with sealing lids
  • measuring cup
  • measuring spoon
  • some granite or other good stones to place inside the top of the jars before sealing them with lids

Directions:

Slice up all of the vegetables and fresh items into small pieces; They don’t have to be tiny.

Put them into a bowl and mix them all together.

Measure some water with sea salt. You’ll need one tablespoon for every 2 cups of water.

About 4 cups of water should be enough.

Pack the vegetables down tight to compress as much air out of them as possible.

Fill them about an inch from the top with the premixed saline solution. (salt and water)

Put a leaf of cabbage or two over the top of the veggies in each jar, like a blanket, and push down below the water level. (You can add a little more of the saline water if you need to after you put the stones on top of the cabbage to hold them down.)  You won’t want to fill the water all the way to the brim but close. (about 1/4 inch from the top)  I used 3 quart jars for this job, but you can use bigger jars if you like.

Now that you’ve put your stones on top of the cabbage leaves to hold them under water seal the lids snug so they are air tight; Not to tight though, as they’ll build pressure and be harder to open.

Put them into the cupboard or other dark place for four days.  It is important to loosen the seal on the jars once per day to release the pressure; the re tighten.  They may overflow a little after opening them up from the built up pressure created by the ferment.

After four full days you can eat them.  You’ll want to store them in your fridge from now on with the lids on.  They will be good to eat for the next six months.

You may want to throw away the  top cabbage leaf, as it may get a little more oxidized from not being fully covered.  I won’t hurt you if you do eat it, however, and many people like to.

This recipe is full of probiotics and enzymes in addition to the many other vitamins and minerals.

It tastes good to so you’ll want to make some soon.

What’s The Perfect Diet?

Is There A Perfect Diet?

Originally Posted February 2, 2011

The following is my response to all of the thoughts I read.

Very interesting perspectives on this post. I personally witnessed one of the Authors with the biggest following of people on the internet, for the subject of health, admit he didn’t know something about the China Study, which he thought he had debunked.

That same author has hundreds, if not thousands of people, writing articles which are tweets of what he posts on his site. There may be hundreds of articles that all say the same thing, but what if the authors all based their findings on one misinformed author?

To get the facts, you need to go read the study yourself. People often say they’ve debunked something, but when you look at the sources they used to debunk it, you’ll see how their own aggressive opinion skewed what the study proved.

As far as making diets work, it’s true, if you stick to something long enough you can often overcome the little nuances that made other people give up. The other side of that coin is, if you have enough flexibility to realize what you are doing might not be optimal, you might be set free enough to find some way you can thrive even more.

Create Your Perfect Diet By Fine Tuning What You’ve Learned To Your Needs!

I love to hear these great insights from the people who have dug deep to find answers for themselves and others to live better. I will continue my quest; and with the knowledge I have attained, I will be free from the dogma’s of anyone, including myself. That’s a perfect diet!

It’s an amazing revelation to realize you don’t have to keep searching frantically for the truth; that you can relax a little knowing you’ve searched enough to have a good clue about what your doing, and how to listen to your body better. The subtle distinctions set in motion by that thought alone are enough to make your health even better.

To your version of a perfect diet,

In today’s video we share how to sprout and dehydrate almonds.  This is the best way to get the most nutrients out of your almonds.

It’s a simple process and it makes it a lot easier for your body to digest the almonds.

Many people don’t know, but you can buy raw organic almonds in the U.S., directly from the farmer at their farm.

The other choice for raw almonds is to get the imported ones.

I think we’ll eventually overturn the law that requires almond farmers to pasteurize or chemically treat their almonds, but for now we’ll have to do the best we can with the options we have.

Enjoy your sprouted almonds.
