In today’s video I share on the subject of some shoes I recently purchased and although they may look a little funny, they might be better for your knees.

The frost on the grass chilled my toes almost to the point of feeling numb.  My calves were burning.  It felt good to be running in spite of the pain.  It wasn’t a joke, what I’d read in many reviews from first time wearers of the shoes, about experiencing this type of muscle soreness.  Some people said to wear them for short periods of time, to start, and warm up to longer periods as your body adjusted.  To read more click on the following link.

If you’ve been meditating for a while you’ve undoubtedly experienced how it can be a great tool for enhancing your life experience in a number of ways.  There are so many kinds of meditations, that practically anyone can find a way of doing it, they can relate to.  That’s what I like about it.  In my experience, I’ve learned to get the most out of it, and not get hung up on someone’s specific protocol.  That’s what this article is about.

In the News Today

Today is a day of victory for Sanne Jones.  She participated in the Sexy Fit Challenge and is now being announced, for the first time to the public, the winner of that challenge.  In only 45 days she lost 12 pounds and added new muscle to her body.  Her before and after pictures are very revealing of the transformation and she deserves her position as the winner.

 

Sanne is the mother of 2, and completed the challenge in spite of her husband having to be away for a good portion of the time she was engaged in it.  She will receive a cash award of $100.00.  She also received free copies of Body Mastery Without A Gym and Health Beyond Diet Dogmas prior to the start of the challenge, so she would know what to do. The cash award is not huge but the transformation is where the real reward is.  Congratulations to Sanne.

 

Also in the news, there’s a bill up for review that could help put natural health back into the mainstream of news.  For many years natural health practitioners have had to choose their words carefully when associating supplements and foods with an ability to cure or prevent disease.  The new bill, Free Speech about Science Act (FSAS), would allow health advocates to tout the benefits of nutrients that have shown success in healing disease, as observed in peer-reviewed studies.  Jason Chaffetz and Jared Polis have introduced the bill, also known as HR 1364

 

There are numerous studies demonstrating the reality of the healing and disease preventative aspects of many plants and supplements already.  It’s the wording of the medical laws that have prevented the public from having the freedom to speak freely about these facts, without the possibility of being charged with a crime (practicing medicine without a license).

 

If this new bill passes, it will put health advocates on an equal playing field with pharmaceutical advocates; and help to get the message, of the benefits of taking responsibility for one’s own health, out to the people in a much stronger way.

 

Regardless of what the outcome of this bill may be, it’s great to know the public is waking up on many levels; And that waking up has the potential to change life as we know it, in ways we may not have imagined.  You can help  this bill get the support it needs by submitting a prewritten email, at the following link, to your Congressman.  If you like, you can make the prewritten email personal or completely rewrite it.

I still remember my first life changing book on health.  Making Your Juicer Your Drug Store by Dr. L Newman, called out to me from a Ft. Collins, Colorado health store in 1996.  I answered the call and went on a 6 day juice fast shortly after picking it up.  The book and the juice fast changed my life, and I’ve continued to learn and be inspired by natural health, in a big way, ever since.

 

For some time, it’s been easy for Americans to believe things have been done in the best interest of the public.  We are, after all, the home of the free, right?  We escaped from tyranny more than a couple of centuries ago, so why wouldn’t we trust our government and it’s advocations?  How could it become tyrannical, if it stands for standing up to tyranny.  It wasn’t until fairly recently, in the big scheme of things, people really started to stand up and point out the flaws in the way things have been, and are being done; right before our eyes.

 

For a time, our own government taught us lead was safe.  Most of us know better now.  Now we’re learning that fluoride is seriously bad for our health on multiple levels but there’s still many people who haven’t been able to accept that, because it’s been touted as beneficial for so long.  The information available to us now shows that fluoride doesn’t even make a considerable enough difference in the number of cavities, it supposedly prevents, to even claim it actually makes a difference.  We now know the dangers of fluoride are so great that it makes no sense at all to consciously consume it.

 

We are exiting this old paradigm of believing everything we’re told we’re supposed to believe; And entering one where we search out the facts ourselves, from many sources, and weigh them against what are intuition tells us is true.  In this new paradigm, in the earthly realm, plants rule.

 

The time has come for fruits, vegetables and all of the plant kingdom to reveal their numerous benefits to the public, in a way our society has never known.  We live in a dark time in many ways.  Fukushima’s disaster is radiating Japan and anywhere else the wind or contaminated water takes the toxic chemicals, coming from the damaged nuclear plant.  Unfortunately we have some changes that are being forced upon us, as a people; Be they a result of our ignorance or our unwillingness to change before we have to, we’re being confronted.

 

In the dark hours of this great confrontation we are simultaneously seeing the end of the dark ages of medicine and chemistry.  Although there are some special interest groups, still lurking around, trying to prop up the falling walls, too many people have seen the light to keep it undercover anymore.  Many of us have the opportunity to be truly healthy, if we want to, and live a mostly pain free life, primarily free of disease.  This is the news of the day.  May you live an awesome life, and be the inspiration that fuels the less fortunate to live inspired lives, themselves.

How to Empower Yourself

 

So you want to empower yourself?  You’ve probably heard about the law of attraction or read some book in your life that was very motivational.  Maybe those things worked for you and your always looking for new tools to help you along the way, or maybe you’ve tried a few things and they haven’t worked for you.  The method I’m about to share with you for making empowering changes is one that’s worked well for me; and I expect it will do the same for you.

 

Before we get into empowerment we need to be aware of the major opposition to us making positive changes in our lives.  It would be nice if all we had to do is think about something in the way we would like it to be, and boom, our life was renewed, just as we envisioned.  Although it’s a good start to imagine what you want, and for that matter, to even know what you want, just having the vision isn’t going to get us very far.

 

As you’ve probably discovered, as long as we’re only dreaming, we never really meet the opposition.  Once you resolve to take action, all of the trouble begins.  When do I start?  What about this or that?  Do I even have it in me?  What was I thinking; This is going to be a lot of work?  If those questions were all that came up it would be difficult enough to make big changes, but it can get a lot worse than that.

 

Your friends and family have learned to expect certain things from you, so they might not want you to change.  Resistance comes in every imaginable form to stop you from your empowerment.  We are not going to get into what’s stopping you, any further, for now.  It’s enough to know, Something is going to try and stop YOU; or anyone else who wants to make positive changes in their lives.  Know you’re not alone, and many others have made the kinds of changes you’re about to make in spite of the evil resistance.

 

Now that we’ve got the beast out of the way let’s get right down to practical application.  The force you’re going to use is the Power of Commitment; It will be your ally.  “Ally!?,” You say, “I’m not a committer.  This is definitely not going to work for me!”  I understand.  Hang in there for just a minute longer.  We’re going to use the power of commitment, but only for 30 days at a time.  If you don’t like the changes you make, you can go right back to being the way you were before.

 

30 day challenges are great for 2 major reasons.  The first one we already stated; It’s only 30 days.  If you’ve said you’d never do something again and failed, I can relate.  The thought of forever is enough to keep me from starting or stopping just about anything.  I’ve tried forever before, usually when I was desperate, and I almost knew I was going to fail from the start.

 

30 days no problem.  It’s like a good bet.  In fact, you might want to make a bet with someone, you can do whatever your challenge is for 30 days.  That will be another empowering reason, beyond the benefits you’ll get from the challenge, in and of itself, to keep you going.

 

The 2nd major reason 30 day challenges are so effective, is they really get you into a new habit.  Most people have heard it takes 21 days to make or break a habit.  30 days gives you all of that, plus a little extra time to solidify the new habit.  You’ll more than likely be pretty comfortable with your new thing after 30 days, plus you’ll be relaxed enough knowing, you can be done with it if you hate it.  Fair enough?

 

These 30 day challenges would be great, even if all they offered were an effective way to test out changes in your life, but they do more for you than that.  They build confidence in you.  Every time you complete a challenge, you may find yourself excitedly anticipating the next one.

 

In addition to the confidence you’ll gain and becoming more proactive, you’ll have all kinds of insights during the process.  These insights often lead to new challenges that benefit you in ways you least expect.  For example, getting up at the same time every morning led me to more consistently meditating, when I got up.

 

This more consistent practice of meditation wasn’t started as a result of a desire I had to be more spiritual.  The first few minutes of being up earlier at the same time everyday were so painful for me, that I just started meditating to bare the pain.  This helped me to bare the pain, and eventually I started to look forward to the meditation for other reasons.  As I continued to do it, I had additional insights, which led to trying different things in the meditations; which led to some pretty profound changes in my overall health and fitness.

 

That’s just an example from my life to accentuate the possibilities for you, the reader.  Something I can attest to with full confidence, is every challenge gets a little easier; Or it’s easier to take on more difficult challenges.  You can expect the same for yourself, and that is EMPOWERMENT.  Go empower yourself.

Seeds And Thoughts

In today’s video we share a little on how to sprout wheat berries and get into the subject of seeds, thoughts and creating.

What is the purpose or passion in your life? It’s not always easy to know. I have found it takes a little creativity in doing things to find out what really is at the core of who you are. If you are one of the people who has always known what you wanted to do with your life, you have something to be thankful for.

If you are one of the people who hasn’t figured out what you’re real good at or truly love to do, keep searching for the answers and trying new things. Know there are others like you out there.

Did you know about the 80/20 Rule? According to it, most people spend 80% of their time on the things that get them 20% of the results, and 20% of their time on the things that get them 80% of the results. Try spending more time on that 20% that’s really getting you the results.

In today’s video we share some of our insight on how to extract the best information from the experts without getting more confused.

Many so called  health experts claim they’ve figured it all out.  All you have to do is follow their plan and you’ll be in perfect health.

Often times people who follow the experts do everything just the way it was outlined for them, and don’t get the results they were guaranteed.

We’ve found, from our own experience, it’s good to be very selective about who’s dogmas you pick up.

I hope this video will give you a little more insight into how to extract the best tools from whomever you listen to.

Website Building

Do you want a website, but don’t know where to begin?  Do you already have a domain(site) name, but don’t know what hosting is or how to get your site functional.

I have some ideas for you.  The first thing you need to do if you want a website name but don’t know how to check to see if it’s available, is go to a website hosting service and find out if the name is taken.  There are a lot of hosting services out there.  The one I use at the time is called Godaddy.  You can Click Right HERE and go directly to the Godaddy’s sight.

When you go there you’ll find a box to enter the website name you want; Enter it with no spaces.  If the website name you want is rockyourbody.com, enter rockyourbody.  If it’s available as a .com it will tell you so.  If it’s not available as a .com it might still be available as a .net, .org, etc.  Once you’ve found a name that you like and is available, you can lease that name from godaddy or another hosting service.  I recommend you check out some other hosting services and what they provide before making a purchase.

Once you’ve paid for the name, you’ll have the choice of having some level of hosting service, which will cost you so much per year.  I pay close to $100. per year to godaddy to host all of the sights I need.

Once you’ve got your hosting plan, you’ll need to have a web designer, or design your own website.  The good thing for you is, there is software to help you with your website.  Dreamweaver is something a lot of people use.  I personally use iweb from macintosh.  It makes most things simple enough for me.

Although I’ve built my website, up to this point, with my iweb software, and I’ve done a pretty good job for doing it all on my own, I am considering to get help from a company called Site Build It.  They are a hosting service that does a lot more than hosting.  According to the information I’ve read on their site, it seems like they might replace other services people often use to help build their website.

Some of the other services people generally use with building their websites are autoresponder email services and shopping cart services.  If you have one company to do all or most of these things for you at a reasonable cost, you might be better off.

I know some other people who recommend Site Build It, and they are people I trust.  Site Build It, offers a free trial period to test out their product and see if it works for you.  If you try them out and have success with them, please let me know.  I will also keep you posted on whether or not I try their service, and if I do, Ill let you know by linking the story to this post.

The main reason you might want  a service like Site Build It, is to help you save time and money.  Trying to  figure out all of the ins and outs of internet marketing yourself is not an easy job, and I’m still working on it myself.

Whatever you do, remember their is work required to make a profitable business.  Make sure you pick something you are real interested in, so you’ll want to stick with it.

What excites you?

This might be the question that needs answering the most, for many of us. This question has been posed by Tim Ferris, in his book, The Four Hour Workweek. In it he asks the question, “What is the opposite of Happiness?” The answer, he gives is boredom. This insight has helped me to search out the things that make me excited, which Tim stated was a more appropriate synonym for happiness.

Brilliance, light shining in the darkness, illuminating the passage back to a path once forgotten. I don’t use the word bored to describe how I feel, rather feeling, not saying, I have felt apathetic, like it wasn’t important, whatever it might be, that truly creates joy for me. I can’t say I am happy all of the time, but I am excited more often, and that is something like living, being alive, doing what excites me.

This would mean nothing, if it were not for you. Go out and live again if your not, dream a little, and who knows? Maybe life can be beautiful; and maybe you’ll find that joy you once lost, always hoped for or thought was only a fairytale.
